Golang Job: Systems Developer

Hi there!
We are Semrush, a global IT company developing our own product – a platform for digital marketers.

And this is our Golang Developer (Cherry Team) role for those who want to turn ideas into reality using code, algorithms, and maybe a bit of magic.

Tasks in the role

• Contributing to full product development and influencing the product.

• Maintaining and improving Go services capable of scale and handling high loads.

• Working closely with other teams.

• Setting up monitoring and alerting.

• Writing code that not only works but is also easy to understand, maintain, and test.

Who we are looking for

We think that these types of experience and competencies will help our future colleague to join the team.

• 1+ years of Go development experience.

• Experience in web-service development.

• Experience with SQL.

• Familiarity with GNU and Linux. You will use the console as a second editor.

• You can’t imagine development without a version control system such as Git, SVN, and others.

• You package service infrastructure with a Dockerfile.

• You have experience with queues on Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, and other apps. Also, experience with key-value databases, PostgreSQL, and K8s.

A bit about the team

We are looking for a Golang Developer to join our Cherry Team. The team has an ambitious goal—to develop a tool for marketers and their managers so that they can stay informed about everything that’s happening in the market they are interested in.

The Cherry Team consists of seven people—Product Owner, two Backend Developers, two Frontend Developers, one QA Engineer, and a Scrum Master.

We communicate with each other a lot and try to make our interactions as comfortable and productive as possible with agile development processes. We’re willing to invest in the professional growth of our colleagues, so we’re happy to mentor them and regularly conduct code reviews.
